Mistyland were founded in 2000 by Marzio (voice), Alessio (guitars) and Samuele (drums), performing as a cover band and touching different styles and genders, playing just for fun.
At first, the engagement of the members wasn’t very hard, but love for music was strong and after a couple of rehearsals with Marco, Seven Gates’ guitarist, which played bass for the occasion, they decided to perform live concerts in small clubs and contests.
Emergenza Rock was a great occasion for Mistyland, where they had their first live debut (for the occasion, Marco was replaced with Seventh Seal’s bassist Andrea).
Mistyland had the opportunity to enter, although in a small part, the Florence underground metal world, finding in Niccolò a good and avalaible bassist.
With the new 4 member formation, they entered Keller Contests, gaining good places in the results, but most important, they knew Walter, a guitarist that, joined the group as stable member, gave new vital lymph to the group. For the fist time, he dedicate himself to create his song parts.
That was another period of stability for the band, ended with the leaving of Niccolò, replaced by Sandro (the actual bassist), then by Samuele and later by Marco.
Members’ distance and personal problems caused a waved period for the band, followed by composition crysis and the search for a more personal sound.

2002 and 2003 are delicate years: Mistyland played in Suoni nella Notte (obtaining good public and critic agreement) and in Keller Contest, getting to semifinals. But incomprehension between Marco and the other members, and his following leaving, lead the Tuscany band towards another period of inactivity.
Then decided to concentrate themself in creating own pieces and better old ones, almost ready to record a demo.
In this period a new member entered the band: the keyboard player Claudio. He worked togheter with the band to find, finally, personal sound and style, addressed towards a musical mix inspired by big names like Sonata Arctica, Blind Guardian, Stratovarius and Gamma Ray.
With Fabio, Mistyland played one more time in Keller Contest, obtained a great success during the fist preliminary.

In 2004 they realeased their debut demo “Call of Destiny”, rewieved by critic with conflicting opinions, mostly dissatisfied by the singer performance.
Some live gigs followed, the most important was at Back Doors, as Seventh Seal support band.
After that date, there was a long period of inactivity due to members’ personal reasons and after that, even the singer, the keyboard player and the drummer left the band. The rest of the band looked for new members for a long time, and maybe now they have finally found what they need, changing radically their belonging musical gender.

In 2006, in fact, Francesco (drums) and Francesca (vocals) entered the band, while Walter worked not only on guitars but on keyboards too, more and more fascinated by melodic death metal and femal fronted bands like Nightwish.
A new wind blows for Mistyland, be preparing new songs, the 5 members started again to play in order to enter a record studio and create a new demo.

New changes for Mistyland at the beginning of 2009 with the arrival of the new lead voice Rachele.
